Bally’s Adds Two iGaming Brands in Alberta

By | August 7, 2026

Bally’s Corporation has expanded its presence in Canadian online gambling sector with the launch of Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino and Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook in Alberta. Both platforms began accepting bets on August 4 after opening for pre-registration following their approvals from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis.

Alberta iGaming Corporation confirmed the launches on August 5. The additions bring the province’s regulated online gambling market to 26 operational sites, following the opening of 22 platforms when Alberta’s regulated market launched on July 13.

Alberta Market Adds Bally Bet And Monopoly

Bally Bet Canada joins a growing group of established operators in Alberta, while Monopoly Casino brings the board game brand’s online offering to the province. The two Bally’s platforms are the first additions since Entain launched Sports Interaction and Party Casino in late July.

The current Alberta market includes brands such as BetRivers, Caesars, DraftKings, FanDuel, Golden Nugget, Hollywood Casino, LuckyDays, Stardust, theScore and TonyBet. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis lists more than 50 approved operator sites, indicating that further launches could follow.

Monopoly Casino already operates in Ontario and offers Monopoly-themed live-dealer games, slots, bingo and other casino content. Bally’s acquired Gamesys, (Monopoly’s former parent company) and launched the Monopoly platform in 2016. In June 2025, Bally’s brought Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook to Ontario after the brand’s North American debut in New Jersey.

Bally’s Expands Its Canadian Footprint

Bally’s entered Canada’s regulated iGaming market in 2022 with Bally’s Casino in Ontario. The company later moved to an all-in-one Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino application in Ontario at the end of 2024, using technology supplied by Kambi and White Hat Gaming.

The Alberta launch extends Bally Bet’s presence to 15 North American jurisdictions. Bally’s North America Interactive division recorded revenue growth of 36% year over year during the first quarter of 2026.

The company also strengthened its Monopoly position through a multi-year agreement granting exclusive global business-to-consumer online casino rights to the Hasbro brand across regulated gaming markets. Evolution received the rights to develop Monopoly and Hasbro Games online slots and live casino formats.

Bally’s CEO Robeson Reeves described Monopoly as “perhaps the most global local brand there is” in comments to SBC News in July 2025. The platform includes Monopoly-themed games and a Monopoly Rewards program.

Two Brands Support Broader Gaming Operations

Bally Bet Canada operates under Bally’s wider gaming business, which includes retail casinos, online gambling and sports betting. Bally’s owns 20 land-based properties across 11 US states and now operates Bally Bet in both Alberta and Ontario.

The company also maintains other Canadian interests. Bally’s owns a 58% majority stake in Bally’s Intralot S.A., its joint venture with lottery technology company Intralot. The business supplies lottery-related services to organizations worldwide, including Canadian Crown corporations such as the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.

The Alberta launches therefore add two distinct Bally’s-branded platforms to a market that has continued expanding since its July opening, giving the company a larger presence in Canada’s regulated online gambling sector.
