BETER Adds Virginia as Tenth US Market

By | August 26, 2026

BETER has added Virginia to its regulated US presence after receiving a Vendor Registration license from the Virginia Lottery, allowing the provider to offer its exclusive sports and esports content to operators in the Commonwealth.

The approval gives BETER a route into its tenth US state. Its content is already available in Florida, New Jersey, Colorado, Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, North Carolina, Illinois and Kentucky.

Virginia’s approval covers live data and streams from the Setka Cup table tennis tournaments and ESportsBattle competitions. Local bettors can already access both through bet365, which has a long-standing relationship with BETER.

The Virginia Lottery oversees land-based casinos and online sports betting in the state and granted the registration that permits BETER to supply operators there.

State-By-State Compliance Drives Expansion

BETER’s latest approval also highlights the different regulatory requirements involved in building a presence across the US.

Valeriia Tarchynska, Chief Legal Officer at BETER, said each state requires its own regulatory approach.

“Every US state sets its own rules, documentation standards, and timelines, and meeting them takes sustained, detailed work. Securing a Vendor Registration license in Virginia is the result of that work, and of a compliance culture that treats full alignment with each regulatory framework as the starting point rather than the finish line.

“The US remains the single most strategically important market in BETER’s global plans. With ten states now approved, our team is continuing to progress applications across further jurisdictions, and we fully expect to add to that number in the months ahead.”

The company said its exclusive content is supported by an Integrity team that monitors activity 24/7. That team also works with sports integrity organizations, including IBIA and ESIC, and sports federations to maintain fair play standards.

A Broad Live-Content Operation

BETER provides live streams, real-time data and odds around the clock, covering more than 700,000 sports and esports events annually. Its offering can include up to 50 markets per event, while the company reports an average operator margin of 7.5% or more.

Its esports offering includes ESportsBattle tournaments covering eFootball, eBasketball, eHockey and eTennis. Setka Cup table tennis and the BSKT Cup basketball league form part of its sports content.

The company is using the Virginia registration to extend access to this content while continuing its wider US licensing work.

BETER CEO Gal Ehrlich described the latest approval as a significant point in the company’s expansion across regulated markets.

“Virginia is one of the most competitive sports betting markets on the East Coast, and reaching a tenth US state gives BETER a regulated footprint that very few fast-betting content providers can match.

“Bettors across the US are giving more and more of their attention to short-form, always-on content, and that shift shows no sign of slowing. Our long-term vision is about building the content infrastructure that allows operators to run a genuine round-the-clock product in every regulated market that matters, and Virginia takes us another step closer to that.”

With Virginia now approved, BETER has reached 10 US jurisdictions and said it is continuing work on applications elsewhere.
