BETER has added Illinois to its US presence after receiving regulatory approval for its Setka Cup table tennis content, extending the company’s reach in regulated sports wagering markets.
The decision was issued by the Illinois Gaming Board, which oversees casino gambling, sports wagering and video gaming in the state. The approval enables licensed operators in Illinois to integrate BETER’s Setka Cup offering, including live streaming and real-time data, into their sports wagering catalogs.
With Illinois included, BETER’s content is now available in eight US states. The latest expansion follows earlier entries into Florida, New Jersey, Colorado, Arizona, Indiana, Iowa and North Carolina.
The Setka Cup product is already accessible to local bettors through bet365, a long-standing partner of BETER. Additional operator partnerships are expected as its Illinois presence develops.
Regulated Expansion Extends Content Network
The Illinois approval allows BETER to supply its fast-paced table tennis content to a new regulated market. Setka Cup is part of the company’s sports portfolio and supports its wider offering of high-frequency wagering content.
BETER reports delivering more than 700,000 esports and sports events annually. Each event is supported by live streaming, real-time data and betting odds, with up to 50 markets per event. The company states that operators using its content achieve an average margin above 7.5%.
Alongside Setka Cup, BETER’s sports catalogue includes the BSKT Cup basketball league. Its esports division features ESportsBattle competitions covering eFootball, eBasketball, eHockey and eTennis.
US Strategy Continues to Advance
Company leadership described the Illinois approval as part of a broader US expansion strategy.
Gal Ehrlich, CEO of BETER, said: “Entering Illinois is another significant step in our US expansion and reinforces BETER’s position as a leading provider of fast-betting content in the world’s most exciting sports wagering market.
“Demand for high-velocity, 24/7 content continues to accelerate across the US, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of that shift. With eight states now under our belt, we have clear momentum and a long-term vision that goes well beyond individual state launches.”
Valeriia Tarchynska, Chief Legal Officer at BETER, said the approval reflects the company’s regulatory approach. She said: “Securing approval from the Illinois Gaming Board is a testament to the rigorous regulatory work our team undertakes in every jurisdiction we enter. Each US state has its own framework and requirements, and our commitment to full alignment with those standards is non-negotiable.
“The US remains a strategically vital market for BETER, and we continue to work actively to secure approvals in additional key states. We are building real scale in this market, with much more to come.”
Integrity Framework and Upcoming Showcase
BETER said its content is supported by its Integrity team, which conducts continuous monitoring and works with organizations including IBIA, ESIC and sports federations to uphold fair play standards.
The Illinois launch also precedes BETER’s participation at SBC Summit Americas, where it will exhibit at Stand 813 from June 9 to June 11.
