Light & Wonder, an internationally renowned provider of brick-and-mortar and online casino products based in Las Vegas and previously known as Scientific Games, has appointed Matt Wilson as President and CEO, and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Since the end of August, Wilson has guided the leadership transition as interim CEO after the resignation of Barry Cottle.
With regard to Mr. Wilson’s appointment, Light & Wonder also announced that Siobhan Lane, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Gaming, has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of Gaming.

Soon after naming Matt Wilson interim CEO, Light & Wonder’s Board of Directors unanimously determined that Wilson has all necessary qualities to lead the company’s next chapter. With nearly 20 years of gaming industry experience and a proven record of driving growth, he is expected to unleash the full potential of this famous supplier of ground-breaking casino solutions.

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong and has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School. Before joining the Light & Wonder team, he was President and Managing Director, Americas at Aristocrat, another well-known iGaming company.

In connection with Mr. Wilson’s appointment, Siobhan Lane, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Gaming, has taken the role of the new Chief Executive Officer of Gaming. Prior to joining Light & Wonder at the beginning of 2020, Lane had worked for Aristocrat together with Wilson.
