MiFinity has introduced Wero as a new funding option within its eWallet platform, extending the range of payment methods available to customers in Europe. The integration allows users in Belgium and Germany to make deposits directly into their MiFinity accounts through Wero without incurring additional fees.
The launch forms part of MiFinity’s wider effort to strengthen local payment support across key European markets. Customers can now connect to Wero through the MiFinity eWallet and authorize transactions using the Wero application, which is linked directly to their bank accounts.
According to the company, the addition is intended to provide a payment experience built around convenience, security and familiarity for European users. Deposits are approved within the Wero app, allowing customers to complete transactions without sharing sensitive banking information with merchants.
New Deposit Option Targets European Users
Wero has been developed for the European payments market and offers direct bank-linked deposits. Users can confirm payments through the app and gain quick access to funds within their MiFinity eWallet accounts.
The payment method also emphasizes privacy by limiting the need to disclose personal banking details during transactions. MiFinity said customers can fund their accounts without fees while benefiting from a solution designed specifically for local markets.
The rollout currently covers Belgium and Germany and forms part of a broader expansion of Wero across Europe. As the payment solution becomes available in additional countries, MiFinity customers are expected to gain access to the service in more jurisdictions.
The company noted that the integration also supports merchants by allowing customers to use familiar payment tools when funding their eWallets, helping create a smoother user experience across partner platforms.
Company Continues Focus on Local Payment Solutions
Paul Kavanagh, CEO at MiFinity, said: “At MiFinity, we’re focused on making transactions as simple and accessible as possible for our customers, wherever they are. Integrating Wero is another step in that journey, giving our European users a trusted, fee-free way to fund their MiFinity eWallet. Expanding our network of local payment methods is key to delivering the seamless experience our customers expect and supporting our partners across the region.”
MiFinity said the addition strengthens its position as a globally connected eWallet provider while maintaining local relevance through region-specific payment options.
Users Encouraged to Prepare Ahead of World Cup 2026
In separate guidance issued to customers, MiFinity encouraged users to prepare their eWallet accounts ahead of World Cup 2026, citing the increased online activity that typically accompanies major international sporting events.
The company advised customers to complete account verification before tournament activity intensifies. Verified accounts help users access available features and reduce the possibility of delays during periods of higher transaction volumes.
MiFinity also recommended organizing spending through different eWallets or currencies where appropriate, allowing users to track transactions more effectively during busy periods. Customers were encouraged to set up preferred payment methods in advance to ensure funds can be transferred or deposited without interruption.
The company further highlighted MiRewards, which enables users to earn MiPoints through account activity and redeem them for rewards and offers.
