Roxane Lukas Joins Las Vegas-based Light & Wonder as Chief People Capability Officer

Light & Wonder, an iconic US-based provider of brick-and-mortar and online casino products and services previously known as Scientific Games, has appointed Roxane Lukas as Chief People Capability Officer (CPCO). Introduced as “a powerhouse with a passion for creating environments where leaders and the teams they lead can do their best work”, Lukas brings over 25 years of experience in many key areas, including organizational and leadership development, talent management, and executive coaching.

In her new role at the Las Vegas-headquartered gaming giant that has about 5,000 employees across the world, Lukas will lead the global People strategy and oversee L&W’s People functions to make sure business runs like clockwork.

Exciting Time for Light & Wonder

Light & Wonder, a legendary cross-platform game and entertainment company from Nevada that last month finally found the right partner for its sports betting brand OpenBet, has named Roxane Lukas as Chief People Capability Officer.

Lukas has 25 years of combined experience in the People Leader field, being an expert not only in organizational and leadership development, strategy, mentoring, talent management, and executive coaching but also in overall operating culture and facilitating transformation.

Rich Educational Background and Career

Before joining Light & Wonder known for its exclusive content deals in the U.S, Roxane Lukas held various HR executive positions at prominent hi-tech companies, at different times being Global Vice President of HR at game giant Electronic Arts and Chief People Officer at Scopely Inc. and TechStyle Fashion Group.

A life-long learner, Lukas holds two Master of Arts degrees: in Executive Development from New York University and in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. Plus, she gained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature from Skidmore College, but that’s not all because Lukas is also a certified facilitator of IMPAQ’s B State’s Breakthrough Leadership Team System and certified in Soul-Centered Facilitation and “CHH” (Consciousness, Health, and Healing).

As a new CPCO at Light & Wonder, Lukas will be in charge of the global People strategy, as well as overseeing the company’s People functions to provide an engaging, inclusive, and productive work environment for about 5,000 employees in L&W’s offices and development hubs scattered across the globe.

Some of the key areas include Business Partnership, Corporate Social Responsibility, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Talent Management, and Learning and Development.
