stillaguamish_and_kalispel_tribes_launch_betting_in_washington_stateIn Washington State, the sports betting network is constantly evolving, as evidenced by the latest news. Namely, the tribes Stillaguamish and Kalispel join Snoqualmie Casino in launching sports betting, after a series of agreements.

The Angel of the Winds casino owned by The Stillaguamish and the Northern Quest owned by the Kalispel Tribe of Indians will now offer retail and mobile betting to customers who opt for their services.

This is a big step when it comes to developing sports betting in Washington DC regardless of the business network already built.

Powered by International Game Technology’s PlaySports platform, the Stillaguamish bookmaker was established on December 1, 2021. However, not only will Stillaguamish benefit from this supplier, but also the Kalispel Tribe, to which the supplier will provide technology for its products.

During this year, as many as sixteen tribes have made agreements with the Washington State Gambling Commission, and only one tribe before these two has launched a sportsbook so far.

Many negotiations and agreements were conducted during this year, and they were related to class III sports betting agreements. This is very important for the tribes because only in this way can they provide betting in their territories.

So Which Tribe Launched the Sportsbook First?

Snoqualmie Tribe, thanks to its Snoqualmie Casino, which is also powered by International Game Technology, started betting offers for the first time in September this year.

We believe that even more tribal bookmakers will make moves in the coming months.

Rebecca George, executive director of the Washington Indian Gaming Association said: “The launch of sports betting this week at a second and third tribal casino in Washington State is an important development for Washington State’s tribes, which rely on gaming revenues to fund essential services for tribal communities and are a critical piece of tribes’ ongoing work to build tribal communities and strengthen self-reliance. The Washington State legislature’s 2020 decision, with a bipartisan supermajority, to approve sports betting at tribal casinos is further vindicated by this week’s developments.”
