This graphical state-of-the-art platform should be live by the end of 2021 and is designed to stream PC games from Steam and the Epic Games Store to Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Android TV devices.

Currently, GeForce RTX 3080 is available for selected members of GeForce Now, the brand formerly known as Nvidia Grid, provides unlimited access to a library of games hosted on NVIDIA servers, through streaming video.

Gamers with access to GeForce Now will soon be able to enjoy the highest resolutions and fastest frame rates, paired with the lowest latency that provides the smoothest possible cloud gameplay, comparable to the latest game consoles.

Membership enables games to work on 1440p on PC and Mac devices, 4k HDR on NVIDIA Shield, and up to 1200 FPS in the PC, Mac, and Android apps.

Furthermore, GeForce NOW RTX 3080 representatives also get the longest session lengths and the most control over persistent in-game settings of any membership tier.

An Expanding Industry

Jensen Huang, founder, and CEO of NVIDIA is excited that the gaming industry and technology are expanding, making new game experiences possible:

While we continue to drive the most advanced gaming technology with GeForce RTX, we have dedicated the past decade to refining and expanding GeForce NOW cloud gaming to bring the best gaming platform to anyone with a computer. I am thrilled to announce our second-generation GeForce NOW SuperPOD — it’s a giant leap forward.”

The RTX 3080 will be offered first to Founders and Priority members of GeForce now. The price for a half-year membership is $99.99, and pre-orders have already begun. It’s expected that the service will go live in the United States in November, and a month later, in December, across Europe.
