Melco Resorts & Entertainment has become the fifth gaming concessionaire to declare a one-month discretionary bonus for its staff. The company, led by Lawrence Ho, stated that the allowance will be paid to all eligible non-management employees before the Chinese New Year, which falls on February 10. The casino and integrated resort operator also announced a 2.5% base salary increase for all eligible non-management employees in Macau, effective from April 1.

“The bonus payout and base salary increase recognise the dedication, loyalty, and hard work of our eligible non-management colleagues,” stated Melco Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho in a press release.

Melco’s announcement was made last Friday, a day that also saw two other operators, Galaxy Entertainment Group and Wynn Macau Limited, announcing one-month bonuses. Earlier in the week, MGM China and Sands China had already confirmed that they would provide a 13-month allowance to their staff on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. Sands also announced a salary increase for its staff.
