Tim Kennedy, Vice President of Sales for Europe at SUZOHAPP experts in the manufacturing and global distribution of gambling and sports betting products tells SBC that supplier logistics count more than ever in a disrupted marketplace.

SUZOHAPP is a sponsor of the Betting on Sports Europe Conference  (7-9 June Twickenham Stadium, London)

SBC : What makes Betting on Sports Europe stand out as an event?

Tim Kennedy (VP of Sales Europe @SUZOHAPP ): Since the pandemic, sports betting has taken off tremendously all over the globe. While we’ve seen a lot of activity specifically in the United States, the platforms and casino groups that are entering the market are global entities that will want consistency throughout their betting experience regardless of location. Betting on Sports Europe is a great opportunity for us to offer our expertise in the hardware and retail elements of sports betting to the industry at large as it will be one of the first, large, sports betting-centric events post-pandemic and we are very excited to take part.

SBC: How are you preparing for the upcoming World Cup?

TK: The World Cup is always a great opportunity for our industry. For us here at SUZOHAPP, we want to be able to support our operators in an efficient and timely manner and given the supply chain issues that have plagued our industry, we’re doing our best to ensure we have relevant stock available for operators who may need it at a moments notice during this busy, high-traffic time.

SBC: What industry innovation will capture the most attention in the next 12 months?

TK: Sports betting has garnered a lot of attention over the past few years as a great way to increase revenues and tax dollars. The platform technology has evolved beautifully to service both operators and end-users. We think the next step is taking these platforms and this technology to see if and how it can apply to esports to expand the sports betting industry.

SBC: What core challenges do you help solve for your customers/partners?

TK: The majority of businesses in the sports betting industry are a technology or platform. When software is your core competency, hardware can really present a burden of time, expertise, and cost if you’re not familiar with the process.

As a trusted hardware partner, SUZOHAPP relieves the burden of hardware by partnering with you, using our expertise in the industry, components, and with regulatory to customize a solution that will reflect the ideal end-user experience specific to your customer. We are able to either customize our standard terminal design to suit your needs or start from scratch to ideate and come up with something more unique. We know the needs of our customers and know the market of components to offer high-value, high-quality options that work within your budget to ensure the longevity of your investment.

SBC: Who have you especially enjoyed working with over the past year (partner/client)?

TK: We are a global company with a wide breadth of partnerships that is key to making our business successful. That being said, in creating our sports betting ecosystem, a couple partners really stood out. One is Elo. We have enjoyed a great partnership for a long time and they have recognized our efforts with multiple awards throughout the years.

Elo’s quality is second-to-none and their flexibility has allowed us to design a top tier terminal with a lower total cost of ownership because of its dependability. Additionally, we’ve also been so fortunate to have such a great relationship with Custom with their line of printers and scanners. Customs’ focus on small footprint and dependability means that we were able to design a slender, more compact terminal without making any sacrifices in quality.

SBC: What are you hoping to learn from the conference at Betting on Sports Europe?

TK: There is always so much to learn at a show like BOSE. We hope to gain a better perspective on where the industry is headed and further develop our relationships with the key players as we help determine the future of sports betting.
