After taking a moment to realise what had happened, the Leicester local said he was “overwhelmed” with joy. “We were so grateful for all the love and congratulations from other customers,” he said. “It still hasn’t sunk in.”
The jubilant winner, who enjoys bingo as much for the social side as the chance to win, is believed to be planning a family holiday with some of the life-changing prize money.
The win at the popular bingo club comes after the National Bingo Game introduced a new top jackpot prize of £250,000 in February 2026.
