BetMGM, one of the industry’s leading sports betting and iGaming operators in the industry, recently entered the Ontario market. However, it continues to make moves, now shaking hands with sports giant, Houston Astros. The deal between these two names will see BetMGM become the exclusive sports betting partner of this Houston-based baseball team.
Although these two brands have not yet specified the financial part of the contract, what we do know is that BetMGM signaling will now be found at Minute Maid Park, home of the Astros. Also, the agreement mentions a sign that will be on the outfield wall as well as rotational promotional messages that can be found behind the home plate.
What is very important for punters and those who support and love this team is that from now on they will have the opportunity to explore VIP events that have so far been intended exclusively for the operator’s clients. These benefits include “throwing out the first pitch, on-field access to batting practice, and VIP getaways for away games.”
Another State Entry
Also, the cooperation between these two brands will bring benefits to punters in another state. Namely, BetMGM and the Houston Astros will launch special betting promotions for the punters in Louisiana.
With this partnership, BetMGM left its foothold in Texas for the first time. However, although this state still does not allow legal sports betting, we have indications that we might see legalization in the coming years.
