EveryMatrix Receives Conditional Approval For Alberta Market

By | May 20, 2026

EveryMatrix has obtained conditional licensing approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC), allowing the company to supply its iGaming technology in Alberta as the Canadian province prepares to open its regulated online gambling market.

The approval permits the group to deliver its casino and sports betting platform solutions to licensed operators within Alberta. The province is set to become Canada’s second regulated iGaming jurisdiction after Ontario, further expanding the country’s controlled online gambling landscape.

Alberta’s regulated iGaming framework is expected to go live in July, creating a new environment for operators seeking entry into the market. Once the system launches, licensed companies will be able to offer services under the province’s new regulatory structure.

At the time of launch, EveryMatrix plans to provide content from its internal game development studio, Fantasma Games, alongside aggregated third-party content. The company has also indicated that it will continue expanding its portfolio as additional opportunities arise within the province.

Market Launch Expected to Open New Operator Access

The upcoming Alberta market represents a significant extension of regulated iGaming in Canada. With Ontario already operating as a regulated jurisdiction since 2022, Alberta will become the second province to formally open its market under a structured licensing framework.

EveryMatrix has already secured commercial arrangements in the province, positioning itself to supply both platform services and proprietary gaming content once operations begin. These agreements are intended to support immediate participation when the market opens.

The company’s approval also reinforces its position as a tier-one supplier across North America. It currently holds licences in multiple jurisdictions, including Ontario, New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, reflecting a broad operational footprint across regulated US and Canadian markets.

Alberta’s profile has drawn attention from suppliers due to its population of around five million residents, strong digital adoption rates, and high GDP per capita within North America. These conditions are widely seen as supportive of regulated online gaming growth.

Expansion Strategy Across North America Continues

EveryMatrix’s latest approval adds to its ongoing expansion strategy across regulated markets in North America. The company continues to build its presence through licensing approvals and operator partnerships, strengthening its position in an increasingly competitive supplier landscape.

The Alberta entry is expected to complement its existing operations across multiple jurisdictions, where it already provides casino and sports platform technologies. The company’s focus remains on delivering integrated solutions to licensed operators in regulated environments.

Rani Axon, Market Manager, North America, EveryMatrix, commented on the approval and the company’s readiness to enter new jurisdictions.

“Entering Alberta marks an exciting step for the Group as we expand further into one of North America’s most attractive regulated markets. This approval shows the strength of our compliance team and our readiness to meet regulatory requirements in any market.”

The approval underscores EveryMatrix’s continued focus on regulatory expansion and market diversification as it advances further into North American iGaming sectors. The company’s presence in Alberta will form part of its broader strategy to supply platform technology and gaming content across established and emerging regulated jurisdictions.
