In order to prevent all this and end it as soon as possible, it is necessary for each of us to be responsible and to respect all measures taken by the competent authorities.

The Ontario Administration Has Decided!

Due to the increasing number of covid-19 cases, the authorities in this Canadian province have decided on a temporary shutdown of casinos. Namely, the large increase in the number of infected has led to new measures that will take effect at 12:01 AM Wednesday morning. The casinos are expected to be closed until January 26. The aim of these measures is to suppress the spread of the infection further, and everyone hopes that they will be only temporary, i.e., that long-term ones will be avoided.

Other Facilities That Will Close

However, this type of facility is not the only one currently closed. In addition to them, Ontario Premier Doug Ford also announced the temporary closure of some indoor facilities such as gyms, bars, and restaurants. Schools are also closed, i.e., students follow classes from their homes. New rules have been introduced in hospitals as well, and one of them is that for now, non-emergency surgeries will not be performed.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) will oversee the closure of casinos.

The news said: “OLG is working with casino service providers on an orderly shutdown of all casinos across Ontario… OLG is also working with charitable gaming (cGaming) service providers to ensure a coordinated temporary shutdown of operations.”

Unfortunately, guests staying at the Caesars Windsor Hotel will have to leave their rooms by Thursday afternoon. Caesars Windsor President Kevin Laforet also spoke out: “The health and safety of our employees and guests remain a priority and we look forward to welcoming you back at a time when it is safe for our community.”

After all, we hope that the situation in Ontario will improve soon. In order to avoid such situations, it is necessary to take care of each other and be responsible. Stay safe!
