NOVOMATIC Retains Top Spot in Austrian Brand Rankings

NOVOMATIC has retained its position as Austria’s second-most valuable corporate brand in the 2026 Austrian Brand Value Study, extending a streak that has now reached seven consecutive years. The annual assessment, prepared by the European Brand Institute (EBI), also placed the gaming technology group second in the Sustainable Brand Ranking.

The latest study valued the NOVOMATIC brand at EUR 3.938 billion, representing a 2.0% increase compared with the previous year. The company remained behind only Red Bull in the overall rankings while maintaining its standing among Austria’s strongest corporate brands.

The recognition reflects NOVOMATIC’s continued presence near the top of the country’s brand rankings since 2020 and highlights the company’s sustained international growth and market position.

Brand Value Continues to Increase

The Austrian Brand Value Study evaluates companies using internationally recognised methodologies that measure brand strength, future potential, market trends and overall economic performance.

For the 2026 edition, EBI assessed 180 branded companies across 16 industries. More than 45% of the businesses included in the study are Austrian-owned. The rankings are compiled in accordance with the international ISO 10668 and ISO 20671 standards.

NOVOMATIC’s latest result marks another increase in brand value while preserving its long-standing position among Austria’s highest-ranked companies. The company said its global expansion strategy and continued investment in innovation have supported the brand’s development in international markets.

Founded in 1980, NOVOMATIC has grown into one of the world’s largest gaming technology groups. The company employs around 26,000 people, operates in approximately 50 countries and exports gaming equipment, lottery systems, system solutions and related services to more than 130 markets. It also operates around 2,000 electronic and traditional casinos through company-owned venues and leasing arrangements.

Sustainability Remains Central to Strategy

In addition to its overall brand value ranking, NOVOMATIC again secured second place in the Sustainable Brand Ranking.

The company attributed this result to its environmental, social and governance (ESG) programme, which incorporates sustainability objectives into its long-term corporate strategy. According to the announcement, independent ESG rating agencies regularly assess the effectiveness of these initiatives.

Recognition Highlights Long-Term Growth

The company said the latest rankings underline its ongoing development as one of Austria’s leading international businesses.

NOVOMATIC noted that the combination of higher brand value and another strong sustainability result reflects its continued emphasis on responsible business practices alongside commercial performance.

The group added that its long-term strategy remains focused on strengthening its international presence while maintaining the standards that have supported its position in both the Brand Value and Sustainable Brand rankings.
