The New Year brings new beginnings. Of course, providers want to continue their successes from the previous year, so they work tirelessly to maintain their current position in the iGaming industry, and even improve it.
One of them is the well-known casino software developer, Playtech, which went into action in the first days of the year by signing a new agreement with Canadian operator, NorthStar Casino. It provides gambling services, but punters are also provided with sports betting.
Under an agreement between the two brands, Playtech will provide the operator with an IMS platform that will now be used by all NorthStar’s platforms.
Words From the Reps
Michael Moskowitz, Founding Partner and CEO of NorthStar Gaming, said: ”NorthStar Gaming is thrilled to be the exclusive Canadian partner in the media and publishing sector with Playtech, the world’s leading gambling technology supplier. Playtech’s industry-leading suite of tools will give us an unmatched edge in the marketplace, given our proprietary content and localization; something we know consumers are looking for.”
This partnership was preceded by the opening of Playtech’s live casino complexes in two US states. This developer does not plan to stop here, but to expand to even more key markets in the coming period.
Also, one of the developer’s plans is to complete a deal with Aristocrat Leisure, an Australian slot provider. Playtech would set aside £2.7bn ($3.66bn) for the occasion. However, to achieve this, a response from shareholders is needed, which is still pending. In addition, Eddie Jordan’s JKO Play is involved in the bidding. If Playtech emerges as the winner of this competition, it will continue to work on the project.
About the Provider
Playtech was founded in 1999. The team of this provider is currently composed of over 6400 employees located in offices in 24 countries. Playtech is headquartered in London, UK. What is very interesting is that the developer is licensed by some very famous brands from Hollywood including the famous Warner Bros.
At the end of last year, Playtech added Spinomenal to its list of partners, and at that time Holland Casino, SYNOT Games, Red Rake Gaming, ComeOn Group, and many other brands were on the list.
